I heard today on "Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me" that the next book to be featured on Oprah's Book Club will be "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy. I have to say, that's a pretty fucking bleak, dystopian book to foist on the masses... especially considering the fraction of Oprah's audience that is no doubt on antidepressants.

Anyway, I think this is the firsty Oprah-endorsed book I've ever accidentally read. I feel ashamed somehow.
